I met Kobe through a stroke of fate on a prison pen pal site, and he sent me these incredible and intricate drawings on each envelope. When he expressed to me his disappointment of not being able to receive financial aid within prison, I had the idea to turn his artwork into stickers and clothing to raise funding for his education. It took off and we went social media viral! Kobe raised enough for his education within a month, and I quickly learned how to run a business.

Kobe is currently pursuing a degree in business while incarcerated. He is looking forward to mentoring at-risk youth upon release and starting a nonprofit to educate and give children the necessary resources. He loves cooking, drawing, and reading. He is patiently waiting to be released back into the community to make some much needed changes.

Hazel is currently studying social work with a passion for criminal justice and prison reform. Since meeting Kobe, she has found her purpose fighting for people who were not given the fair resources. She is looking forward to Kobe's release when they can work together on even more projects at an even larger capacity.
